Updated: Apr 26

Hi,

To - day I thought I'd jump

in and share an

idea for a handmade personalised birthday card...

I don't know about you but, I still love to look out for the postie (Yes, I'm showing my age now!), and receiving a heartfelt card, handmade especially for me!

So, to show someone just how much you care, let me put together something personalised for you to give that special someone on their big day!

In this ever changing world we find ourselves in at the moment, there is even more reason to 'Keep in Touch' with those we love and let them know they are not forgotten.

I can work with you collating photos and memories, any ideas and thoughts you would like to add to make an AMAZING card!

I shall now go through how I made a card for a very special lady about to celebrate her upcoming 40th birthday....

Step 1. Call me and ping over those photos

Through an exchange of emails/Whatsapp, I gather the photos and information for both a card and, because she was also celebrating with a family and friends party, a set of dinner mats to decorate the table and to give each guest a little momento of Keely's celebrations!

Step 2. Go for it, make a special keepsake of an occasion to remember...

I start with a blank canvas, design the background incorporating favourite colours, themes, photos etc., telling a story of memories and messages to make a special keepsake.

Step 3. Taking shape - one page at a time ...

Keely loved special family time and getting together with friends, so, with this in mind the pages of the card reflected just that ...

Step 4. and finally to add your own private message ...

an 'Envelope' to hold your private message, memories and momentos !

... and there you have it - an amazing personalised card handmade with love !

Step 5. ... now to add the finishing touch !

Like I mentioned earlier, Keely celebrated her birthday with family and friends over a dinner party. To add a personal touch to the table, I made her a set of dinner mats.

Not only were these a lovely finishing touch to the table, they made an original personalised momento for her guests to take home with them at the end of a wonderful evening !

and that, as they say, is how it's done !
